What is The Spot?

The Spot: Young Adult Opportunity Campus is a one-stop center helping young people in the Louisville region overcome life barriers and achieve career and educational goals.

Who runs The Spot? 

The Spot is a partnership between Goodwill Industries of Kentucky and KentuckianaWorks, the Louisville region’s workforce board. It was founded in 2021 and is funded by multiple sources, including Louisville Metro Government.

Who is eligible? 

Young adults ages 16-24 who live in Louisville Metro, Jefferson, Bullitt, Henry, Oldham, Shelby, Spencer, or Trimble county.

What services are available? 

The Spot offers a wide spectrum of 100% free services. Some of the core offerings include: 

  • 1-on-1 career coaching and goal-setting

  • Help navigating the justice system  

  • Assistance with transportation, housing, and mental health

  • Paid internship opportunities and job placement 

  • GED prep and college tours

  • Credentials, trainings, and licensure

What can you expect?

The first step is orientation, where we will assess your needs and pair you with a career coach. Next, you will begin our cycle of workshops focusing on soft skills, career planning, and personal development.
